ICI has developed a new global screening test for thrombophilia. Our Test is able to detect thrombophilic states resulting from dysfunctions in the protein C pathway, the major physiological defense system against thrombotic events. The assay principle is based on native activation of the protein C pathway via utilization of recombinant human Thrombomodulin which provides several advantages. We have shown the applicability of the assay as a diagnostic tool and its superiority over other tests in the market. The data were presented at the 57th Annual Meeting of Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research (GTH) in Munich in February 2013.
